कति दिन बाँच्नु
यो हुस्सुले छोपेको सहरमा

यो हुस्सु फाट्दा सायद म मरिसकेको हुन्छु
यहाँ घाम लाग्दा सायद म डढिसकेको हुन्छु
मेरा आफन्तहरूले मलाई न्यानो दिन खोज्दा
सायद म हिउँ भई जमिसक्ने छु

यी पहाडहरूले ब्यूँझेर गाउँदा 
सायद म बहिरा भइसक्ने छु
यी सहरहरूले हाँसी मुस्काउँदा 
सायद म दन्त्यकथा भइसक्ने छु
मेरो कथा सबैले पढ्न खोजे 
सायद म सबैको कण्ठमा 
बाडुली मात्र भइदे’को हुन्छु

Yo hussu phatda sayad ma marisakeko hunchhu
Yaha gham lagda sayad ma dadhisakeko hunchhu
Mera aaphantaharule malai nyano dina khojda
Sayad ma hiu bhai jamisakne chhu

Yi pahadaharule byunjhera gaunda 
Sayad ma bahira bhaisakne chhu
Yi saharaharule hansi muskaunda 
Sayad ma dantyakatha bhaisakne chhu
Mero katha sabaile padhna khoje 
Sayad ma sabaiko kanthama 
Baduli matra bhaide ko hunchhu

For how many more days to survive
In this city covered by the fog

Probably I would be long dead
By the time the fog leaves the city space
Probably I would be long burnt
By the time the sun would shine on this place
When my kin would try and share their warmth
Probably like a snow I would be long frozen

When these mountains awake and sing
Probably I would have long become deaf
When these city would spill their smiles
Probably I would have turned into a fairy tale
Should everyone want to read my story
Probably I would be merely just a hiccup
Appearing instead in everyone’s voice
