About The Nepali Adhunik songs mostly voice feelings at a very personal level. Yet at times its impact is seen effective in raising social issues. Naulakaha Tara evoked the social subject matter and opened up the avenues of this approach in this genre. Ralfa, Lekali and other musical projects oriented towards raising social subject matters continue to live. Paleti has come across such multi-faceted qualities of the Nepali Adhunik music and has archived them some of which we present to you in this edition. Phatteman, Kumar Subba, Manjul, Ganesh Rasik, Hiranya Bhojpure, Dawa Gyalmo, Kiran Pradha, Sunita Subba and Aavas are the main singers of this collection. Paleti talent Suraj has benevolently accompanied the elder singers with his skilled voice. We are happy to draw attention towards the social issues through the Paleti Series. बारेमा नेपाली आधुनिक संगीतले धेरैजसो निजात्मक कथा बोल्ने गरेका छन्, र पनि बेलाबखत सामाजिक विषयमा समेत प्रभावकारी भूमिका खेल्न छाडेका छैनन् । नेपाली आधुनिक संगीतमा चर्चित र अगुवा गीत ‘नौलाख तारा’ले सामाजिक विषयवस्तु उठान गरेको थियो । ‘राल्फा’, ‘लेकाली’ र त्यसपछि पनि सामाजिक विषयलाई नै प्राथमिकता दिने सांगीतिक अभियानको निरन्तरता सानै रूपमा भए पनि कायम छ । पलेँटीले आफ्नो अभियानमा नेपाली आधुनिक संगीतको त्यही बहुआयामिक पाटो संग्रहित गर्ने अवसर पाएको छ । यसपालि हाम्रो अभिलेखालयमा जम्मा भएका तिनै सामाजिक विषयका गीतको शृंखला तपाईंको हातमा सुम्पेका छौं । यस संग्रहमा गीतका मूल गायकहरू फत्तेमान, कुमार सुब्बा, मञ्जुल, गणेश रसिक, हिरण्य भोजपुरे, दावा ग्याल्मो, किरण प्रधान, सुनिता सुब्बा र आभासका आवाज समेटिएका छन् । साथै पलेँटी–प्रतिभा सुरजले आदरपूर्वक आफ्नो कण्ठशिल्पबाट अग्रजलाई सघाएका छन् । पलेँटीमार्फत् सामाजिक विषयमा ध्यान आकर्षित गर्न पाएकोमा खुसी छौं । कलाकारिताले बोक्ने गरेको सामाजिक विषयवस्तुलाई सम्मान गरौं !
