About Welcome to the 23rd edition of Paleti! Singer Phatteman’s presence in the Nepali Adhunik genre was distinctively unique. Paleti had many opportunities to share intimate creative moments with this great Sadhak on numerous occasions. Those records stored exclusively at the Paleti musical archive are as lively. Some of those rare songs and compositions are making their public debut through this album. This album also reveals Phatteman as a versatile composer. It also contains music from a range of legendaries from the past like Narayan Gopal, Ambar Gurung, Nati Kaji, Gyan Bahadhur to contemporary times like Aavass who have musically rendered the poetry and lyrics of Mahakabi Laxmi Prasad Devkota, Ratna Samsher Thapa, Ram Man Trishit, Ishwor Ballav, Kaliprasad Rijal, Manjul, Bijay Siwakoti, and P.L.. If Phatteman dai was alive, we would be celebrating his birthday today. Nonetheless we are celebrating his birth memorial. Let us hear his timeless voice and remember him well. Let us offer our respect to his departed soul through his music itself!

बारेमा नेपाली आधुनिक संगीतमा गायक फत्तेमानको उपस्थिति अद्वितीय थियो । ती अद्वितीय साधकसित पलेँटीले अनेकौं पटक अन्तरङ्ग सम्बन्ध गाँस्ने मौका पायो । फत्तेमान दाइसितका हाम्रा सम्बन्धका गुञ्जन अब गीति अभिलेखमा मात्र बाँचेका छन् । तिनै गीति अभिलेखका गुञ्जनलाई हामीले यस पालिको संग्रहमा सँगालेका छौं, जसमा फत्तेमान दाइका आजसम्म बाहिर सुन्न नपाइएका रचनाको बाहुल्य छ ।  यस संग्रहमा गायक फक्तेमानको व्यत्तित्व कम्पोजरका रूपमा समेत मुखरित भएको छ । साथै नारायणगोपाल, अम्बर गुरुङ, नातिकाजी, ज्ञानबहादुरदेखि पछिल्लो छिमलका आभाससम्मको संगीत समेटिएको यो शृंखलामा महाकवि लक्ष्मीप्रसाद देवकोटा, रत्नशमशेर थापा, राममान तृषित, ईश्वर बल्लभ, कालीप्रसाद रिजाल, मञ्जुल, विजय शिवाकोटी र पीएलका शब्द रचनाहरू समेटिएका छन् ।  फत्तेमान दाइ रहनुभएको भए आज हामी उहाँको जन्मोत्सव मनाइरहेका हुन्थ्यौं । उहाँ रहनुभएन र हामी जन्मजयन्ती मनाउँदै छौं । फत्तेमान दाइको अमर स्वर सुन्दै उहाँलाई स्मरण गरौं ! श्रद्धाञ्जली अर्पण गरौं !
